1.Accepting these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ACAD Online Coaching (“ACAD”, “we”, “us”) for the use of acadapp.in, our online classrooms, study materials, tests and AI learning tools (the “Service”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2.Who can use ACAD
- Students under 18 may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these Terms on the student’s behalf.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the accounts of the students they link or enrol.
- Tutors must be 18 or older and approved by ACAD before teaching.
3.Your account
You sign in with your Google account. Keep that account secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can use your ACAD account. Give us accurate details, especially your phone or WhatsApp number, class and syllabus, and keep them up to date. ACAD is not responsible for missed class links or messages caused by incorrect contact details.
Each account is for one person. Do not share your account or let others attend classes through it.
4.What the Service includes
Depending on your role and enrolment, the Service may include live online classes (for example through Google Meet), class schedules and links, attendance records, study materials, assignments, weekly mock tests, GradeMe practice, an AI tutor, a question-paper generator, online books and help finding home tutors.
We may add, change or remove features over time. We may also change class schedules, syllabus coverage or the assigned tutor when needed, and we will tell enrolled students and parents about changes that affect their classes.
5.Fees, payments and refunds
- Course fees are shown on our Fee Structure page or confirmed at the time of enrolment. Examination or material fees, where applicable, are charged separately.
- Fees are paid by card, UPI, net banking or other methods we accept. Your enrolment is confirmed once ACAD verifies the payment.
- Refunds follow the refund policy shown on the Fee Structure page at the time of payment. Approved refunds are processed within 15 working days to the original payment method.
- No refund is due if an enrolment is ended because of misconduct under section 7.
6.AI-powered tools
Our AI tutor, GradeMe and question-paper tools generate answers automatically. They are study aids, not a replacement for your tutor or textbook, and their answers may sometimes be wrong or incomplete. Check important answers before relying on them for exams. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into AI tools.
7.Acceptable use and conduct
To keep classes safe and useful for everyone, you agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against any student, parent, tutor or staff member;
- record, screenshot, download, share or resell classes, recordings, notes, tests or other course content without our written permission;
- share class links with people who are not enrolled;
- post or upload unlawful, obscene, hateful or misleading content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights;
- try to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to use, or disrupt the Service;
- use bots or automated tools to copy content or overload the Service.
Students are expected to keep at least 75% attendance to stay eligible for their course. We may warn, suspend or end the account or enrolment of anyone who breaks these rules.
8.Additional terms for tutors
Tutors also agree to the ACAD Tutor Terms & Conditions shown during approval. These include conducting a demo class, teaching students assigned by ACAD only through the platform or link ACAD provides, charging only fees approved by ACAD, not collecting payments directly from ACAD-assigned students, keeping student information confidential and maintaining attendance records. If the Tutor Terms and these Terms conflict on a tutor matter, the Tutor Terms apply.
9.Content and intellectual property
ACAD, its logo, the Service and the content we provide, including notes, worksheets, tests, question papers, books and software, belong to ACAD or our licensors. You may use them only for your own personal learning while you are enrolled.
You keep ownership of the content you upload, such as assignments and answers. You give ACAD permission to store, display and process it so we can run the Service, for example to let your tutor grade your work.
10.Google services
Sign-in, Calendar and Meet are provided by Google and are also governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy. If an administrator or tutor connects Google Calendar, ACAD will create class events on that calendar as described in our Privacy Policy. You can remove ACAD’s access at any time from your Google Account settings.
11.Availability of the Service
We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. Classes can be affected by internet, device or third-party platform problems. Where a class is missed because of a problem on our side or the tutor’s side, we will try to reschedule it.
12.Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service supports your preparation for NEET, JEE, CBSE and other exams, but we do not guarantee any exam score, rank, admission or result.
To the extent allowed by Indian law, ACAD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid to ACAD for the affected course in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.
13.Ending your use
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to info@acadapp.in. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as fees owed, intellectual property and liability, continue after an account is closed.
14.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any complaint. If it cannot be resolved, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu will have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to approach consumer forums.
15.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell enrolled users about significant changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
